The value in msDS-HABSeniorityIndex attribute was not synced to Azure AD.

Hello ,

We are on Office365 E3 and have an on-premised AD server synced to Office365 but recently we realized that the value in msDS-HABSeniorityIndex attribute was not synced to Azure AD although there is still the value in each of our AD user (on-premised) but not now missing from AAD.

Any idea how to fix this?

Thank you.

Best Regards,

Suphakit

Answer

Hi Suphakit,

Thanks for the prompt update and I have checked the result. Your msDS-HABSeniorityIndex attribute is presented in the rule and the trigger is mailNickname's value is not Null. Given the situation, please:

1)open Metaverse Search again and check whether the mailNickname is presented for the users.

2)If not, proceed to check it in ADUC> find a user> Attribute Editor.

3)If it's also Null, the most common reason for this behavior is that the users are directly synced to Office 365 without on-prem mailboxes. The mailNickName value is automatically populated once a mailbox is created for the user.

4)As a workaround, you may manually populated users' mailNickname value and check whether the issue persists.

Regards,

Leo
