The form name 'frm_SalesReturn' is misspelled or refers to a form that doesn't exist.

Hi friends

Today while I was working with a complex and heavy Access database, as I tried to change the name of a Form from frm_SalesReturn to frm_SalesRet the database after hanging for quite a while regretfully crashed and auto-restarted with although the name found to be changed on the Object Navigator but the same appearing on the old name in the VBA window???

Continuously the message appearing:

The form name 'SalesReturn' is misspelled or refers to a form that doesn't exist.

The macros do appear but only on the code window and whenever I tried to check the said event procedure from the design view of the said form it starts a new object class?

I am even unable to remove the Form_frm_SalesReturn from the VBA window even after deleting the Form from the Access Objects Navigator, because of the removal option appearing to be inactive:

How to get rid of this non-existing form's message?

Answer
Answer

If you had split the database, that would be a no-brainer because the relations are with the tables in the BE.

Now you will have to decide if you indeed want to use a blank database and will have to re-do the relations, or if you will continue to use the perhaps-corrupt database. I know what I would choose.
