The Exchange connection to server “outlook.office365.com” failed.

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me, I am using the Mail application on a Mac and have set up my Email, this worked fine for a while but now I get the below message when I try to send an email.

if I close the application and open it again it sometimes the sends the email but this is a little annoying.

The Exchange connection to server “outlook.office365.com” failed.

Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be sent.

Hi William,

According to the error message, I suppose you configure an account in the Mac mail app by Exchange protocol.

Please quit the mail app and open Keychain access from Finder> type "Exchange" in the search section and remove all items.

Then reopen the mail app and fill in the password for the credential.

If the issue persists, please provide some more details:

1. Which app are you using in Mac, the build-in mail app / Outlook or others?

2. Which type of account are you using, Office 365/ Exchange?

3. A screenshot of the error message. And if the email could not be sent, were it stored in outbox?

Regards,

Hans
