the camera in cameo when in record mode does not appear.

Power point 2303 running on

Edition Windows 10 Pro

Version 21H2

Installed on ‎09/‎11/‎2020

OS build 19044.2846

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4190.0

On a nex slide the insert cameo function installs a camera insert.

When the camera is activated using the icon a live image appears.

When switched to record mode the screen changes and the slide appears with no cameo.

The record button can be activated and a form of recording starts

when stopped an error message appears.

Error in recording please try again.

Tried.

Turning machine on and off

researched other similar questions. they seem to date back to 2020

have opened PowerPoint presentations I have made in the past using cameo and tried to re record and the same problem arises.

I have checked for updates

i have not changed the camera which works on all other apps and programes

I can send screen shots because that is not working either.

Hi Geoff Hunt1

Greetings!

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

We understand that this situation is difficult, and it might be affecting your business let’s work on this together as team to get to the bottom of this.

For me to better understand the issue, I’d like to ask a few questions:

  1. What is the version and edition of your PowerPoint app? Go to File > Account > Product info (ex. Microsoft 365 for Business).

  2. When did the issue start?

  3. Is this also happening to a new presentation? or happening only to a specific file?

  4. Can you please try again attaching a screenshot of the error message when you reply to this thread?

Please repair your Office apps: Repair an Office application - Microsoft Support

We look forward to your reply.

Sincerely
