Text being cut off in Word Documents

My firm has recently designed new company-wide Word templates for all employees to use. I've noticed there is a glitch in documents made from these templates-- the documents cut off lines of words, usually near the top or bottom of the page. Anyone know why this may be, and how I can fix this?
It's possible the document layout is exceeding the printable area of the page. Most desktop printers can't print to the edge of the page. To find out what the limits are for the active printer, go to Page Setup and set all the margins to zero. You'll be told that these margins are outside the printable area of the page, and Word will offer to fix them for you. Accept the offer. Note the minimum margins set for Left, Right, Top, and Bottom. You can then cancel out of the dialog without accepting these margins, but you will have a better idea of your printer's ability. For more, see http://wordfaqs.ssbarnhill.com/BottomsDontPrint.htm.

Thank you for the response Suzanne, I will definitely look into it. However, the cut-offs I'm referring to are displayed on the computer--  I haven't yet encountered this problem when printing. Do you think this points to an issue unrelated to printer settings?

Hi Baqir,

Thank you for sharing the experience with us.

The printer driver may incorrectly substitute screen fonts at certain view percentages. If you change the printer drive, you may notice difference. So you may try following and see if you still see the documents cut off line of words:

Open your document in Word, click File>Print>expand the Printer list then select a different priner, then go back to the document to check the outcome.

You may also try following:

1.Change the zoom percentage in Word, it might trigger fonts to show completely.

2.Change the font. This helps you check if issue only appears when you use a specific font.

If issue persists, I'd like to confirm information below for further troubleshooting:

1.Do all documents which are made from those template have this issue?

What about if you directly create a new document in Word?

2.Please share some screenshots about the issue's symptom.

3.In Word, click File>Account, then capture a full screenshot of Product Information.

Appreciate your time and effort.

Best regards,

Tina

You could post a screen shot for illustration.

And/or you could upload an example document to OneDrive or Dropbox, make the document public and post a link here. (Of course, you should remove any sensitive information before sharing the document.)

As Tina suggests, this may be a Zoom issue. If the top of text is cut off in any location, it could be that the paragraph is set to an Exactly setting that is too small for the text size. It could also be that an invisible floating object is obscuring the text (see http://wordfaqs.ssbarnhill.com/UnaccountablyIndented.htm).

Hey Tina,

The template was only  drafted and made available to the rest of the team this week, so I cannot say for certain that this issue will be seen in all drafts made from the template. It has, however, occurred in two separate documents already. I think it's also useful to note that the texts cut off have so far been Headings (larger font size, can expand/collapse). Here are examples screenshots:

Is the text in table cells? At least part of it appears to be, judging from your screen shots. If the table rows have a fixed height, that could cut off the text. Also, you have to look at the line spacing for text paragraphs, as Suzanne suggested in her reply.
