According to your description, here is an article that explains the mismatched UPN may cause the same error message. You could let your admin sync the UPN.

Also, if the situation mentioned in the article doesn’t meet your situation, may I know your account? You could send it via the Private Message.

Thanks for posting back and sorry for my late reply.

According to your description, you have a personal account. You could access https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/microsoft-teams/free to join Teams for free.

In meanwhile, you cannot use a personal account to create a tenant while only a business account could have a tenant. Both personal account and business account have their own services.

I don't want vlto create a tenant, sorry for the description. The error occurred while I'm trying to create a Teams Free subscription with my personal account, as you can see in the screenshot. I'm already using your link.

Thanks for posting back.

I have tried to sign up a personal account for Teams free and it works well on my side.

May I know whether you have tried to check this is via using any other Microsoft account (e.g. user@outlook.com)? It will help us to determine whether it is specific account side issue.

If you don't have another Microsoft account, please create a new one here and then try Sign up for Teams free to see whether the problem still occurs.
