Synchronization Error 0x800CCC0E

I have been running Outlook 2010 for 60 days and this week the following error code has appeared for one of my mail accounts and I cannot seem to find a fix. It seems to act like a virus or something is hijacking the account. Any help is appreciated.

Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for ________________.' reported error (0x800CCC0E) : 'Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for _______________. Error: Cannot connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

Hi,

How is the email account configured in the Outlook (POP, IMAP or an Exchange)?

Try removing and re-adding the email account and check if it helps.

Refer to the following link for more information:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/add-or-remove-an-email-account-HA010354414.aspx

If the issue still persists, try starting the computer in the Clean Boot and check if any other software is conflicting with the Outlook.

Check this link for more information on starting the computer in Clean Boot mode:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After the troubleshooting, restart the computer in Normal mode as suggested in this article.

Hope this helps you. If you need any assistance, reply to us and we will be glad to assist you.

Thank you.

Just Disable the Antivirus and test it

Then if Outlook it works , just configure the AV to send and receive Email or Contact the AV Manufacturer and have them do it for you

I have two IMAP hotmail accounts and one POP xfinity account importing Outlook 2010

Win 7

No problems with POP account or the one hotmail-

tried same exact setting for the other hotmail and still got sync error

even though I could send and receive mail

tried to find some setting in outlook.com

nothing worked

so I deleted that account and added it as new

all correct settings/test mail worked

all mail sent and received but still no sync PLUS it was saying disconnect at (bottom bar a big red X)

Your tip to look at virus was the solution

Using AVAST

settings>active protection>

unchecked scan incoming and outgoing mail

opened Outlook and no SYNC issues

opened Avast and re-set to active protect mail in & out

seems to be fixed now

I had similar problem synchronising subscribed folders with my gmail server. Solved the problem by going into my AVG antivirus screen, settings, components   and switched off email protection.

The problem only occurred when using my own Sky broadband box. Synchronising worked perfectly OK on other broadband/wifi boxes.
