Sync between Azure Active Directory and Sharepoint Online User Profile

Hi,

We have a set of fields in Azure AD (company, streetAddress, city, postalcode and state) which are not getting synced to the Sharepoint Online User Profile. Does this need to be configured? If so, how? How can I know the status of this sync between Azure AD and Sharepoint Online User Profile.

Issue on sync between On Prem Active Directory and Azure Active Directory:

We also have an issue where-in we could not map 'division' field from local AD to Azure AD. How can this be done?

Thanks,

Rahul

Answer

Hi Rahul,

#1

We are not able to check the status. The automatic synchronization of the user profiles, from Office 365 directory service to SharePoint Online, is running from the Office 365 backend, which occurs at regular predetermined intervals.

Note that it may take up to 24 hrs for the changes to take effect.

The attributes mapping of using the DirSync tool is not supported to modify. Thanks for your understanding.

In addition, for sync the AD attributes, as company/streetAddress/city/postalCode/state, up to SharePoint Online, here is an option you may refer to.

User profile bulk property updater

It allows us to push the AD attributes, bypassing DirSync, directly to SharePoint Online.

Best Regards,
Rene
