Spell Check Text Boxes

I have a user that works frequently with text boxes in Word documents and needs for spell check feature to work for the text boxes.  The temporary workaround is to select all of the text in the document, go to Review -> Language -> Set Proofing Language.  Then, you have to uncheck "Do not check spelling or grammar".  However, she does not want to have to do that every time she opens a Word document.

Is there any option in Word to prevent having to follow those steps in order to spell check within text boxes every time?

Answer
Answer
What you describe suggests that the text in the text boxes is formatted as "Do not check." This may be direct formatting or it may be the formatting of the style. As I said, the default style for text boxes is Normal, but it may be that another style has been used. The only way to troubleshoot this is to examine the text in the text boxes to see how that setting has been applied.
