Show readability stats without having to spellcheck/grammar check

Is there a way to see the readability stats without having to spell and grammar check the document. I just want to get to the box at the end without having to "ignore all" of the things Word suggest to review/change. Thanks.

Unfortunately, there is no way to do that. You can add your vote to the suggestion at https://word.uservoice.com/forums/304924-word-for-windows-desktop-application/suggestions/18869704-show-readability-statistics-without-grammar-check.

As a workaround, you can use the following macro. (See http://www.gmayor.com/installing_macro.htm if needed.) The columns aren't formatted properly, but the numbers will be the same.

Sub ShowReadabilityStats()
    Dim rs As ReadabilityStatistic
    Dim msg As String
    With ActiveDocument
        For Each rs In .ReadabilityStatistics
            msg = msg & rs.Name & vbTab & rs.Value & vbCr
        Next rs
        msg = Left(msg, Len(msg) - 1)
    End With
    MsgBox msg, , "Readability Statistics"
End Sub
