Search Engine

Oftenly my search engine has been changing from google to Yahoo and i would always have to change my search engine back to google. What can i possibly do to permanenty have my search engine as google rather then having to change it everytime??? Also, my search engine changing from Yahoo could that be a virus by any chance???

Hello Br_sh, Thank you for coming to the forum and I will be happy to assist in the best way I can. If it has to do with the Windows operating system, then you should post this in the Windows Forum. Correct me if I am wrong but this has nothing to do with Microsoft Office, as this is the Microsoft Office 365 forum. I will suggest that you delete the search engine you do not want. You have not indicated which browser this is from so I will give you the step links for the top three browsers Edge https://support.microsoft.com/help/cccaf51c-a4df-a43e-8036-d4d2c527a791 Chrome https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95426?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop Firefox https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-your-default-search-settings-firefox For the links above for Chrome and Firefox Please note: There are non-Microsoft websites. The pages appear to be providing accurate, safe information. Watch out for ads on the sites that may advertise products frequently classified as PUP (Potentially Unwanted Products). Thoroughly research any product advertised on the site before you decide to download and install it. If there is anything else you need concerning Office 365 let me know, if it has to do with the Windows operating system, then you should post this in the Windows Forum. If none, have a wonderful rest of your day. Kind Regards Fuad

The default search engine is controlled by your browser. Fuad Laguda has offered links for Edge, Chrome and Firefox.

The default browser, in turn, is controlled by the operating system. For Windows, see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/change-your-default-browser-in-windows-020c58c6-7d77-797a-b74e-8f07946c5db6.
