Removing unwanted paragraph marks after copy/paste

Often after copy/pasting into Word, I find that there is an unwanted paragraph mark at the end of every line. This creates a document with many different line lengths. How do I remove all the marks so I can format the way I want?

Thanks for any help,

As well as Doug's link consider using Paste Special / unformatted text.

If the text you are pasting is not too long and not too intricately formatted it is a good idea to paste unformatted. Doing this prevents styles associated with the pasted material being added to your document. The extra styles are just unneeded complexity in your document.
