Removing the 18 hour default for all day events - MS Outlook 2010

I have never posted a request or a "please fix me" before with Microsoft, although I am an avid user and developer of MS products, but this is driving me mad.

I run a small business and rely on my calendar which sync's with my phone. But I am getting seriously anoyed that 18hours before the event e.g. 6:00am (even on a Sunday) I will get notified of an upcoming all day event, this is NOT a good way to start the day, or my families. Especially as normally my phone is downstairs waking up the whole house, including our dogs....

Yes, I know you can amend it when you add an all day event, but I would rather you have to select a time, as you only need to forget once, and wham...

I have seen hundreds of threads asking for this to be enhanced so it can be configured.

Has it? Can you?

If not I would seriously like you to consider this as a fairly important feature as it makes Outlook a serious pain to use....come back Vista Mail :)

Please listen.

Matt.

Answer

The all day reminder default is not configurable - you'll need to change it when you set the event (reminders are usually only set on Busy events, not Free) or you might be able to use VBA to go through the calendar and change the reminder.
