purchased an app for a one time fee, is this just for one use or a yearly use

Currently, Office is divided into two versions: a one-time paid permanent version, such as Office 2021, Office 2024, and Microsoft 365, which is used by annual or monthly subscription.

One-time paid perpetual version:

• It means that after you purchase it, you will not have to pay any more and can use it all the time. And this version is one-to-one and can only be activated and used by logging in to an account on one device.

• However, this type of product has a product life cycle. After the life cycle ends, it will no longer be updated for this version. Therefore, this type of Office will release new versions at intervals, such as Office 2019, which has reached the end of its life cycle, and the recently released Office 2024.

Subscribed Microsoft 365:

• Microsoft 365 has more components and additional OneDrive space than Office 2024, and the license can be activated on multiple devices.
