PowerPoint 2016: Bullet Symbols not working

In PowerPoint 2016, I am not able to customize bullets. The only options in the Symbol dialog box are "(normal text)" and "(latin text)"

This feature works perfectly in Word 2016. Is there a projected timeline when this bug will be fixed?

Thank you,

Randy

Answer

I agree, this feature is partially broken. The characters available for bullets are only those for the currently selected text font, whereas other Office programs allow you to select a bullet from any installed font.

As a workaround until this is fixed, choose a Unicode font as the selected font, that will at least give you a greater variety from which to choose. Arial Unicode MS, Lucida Sans Unicode and Segoe UI all have complex character sets that include a variety of bullets.
