Outlook settings

I purchased a new computer.  After installing my Antivirus I installed my Office 365.  Next I tried to setup Outlook.  The first thing it asked for was my Email address.  After putting that in it said it setup the exchange account automatically.  The problem is I don't use an exchange account, the end of my Email address is "@charter.net".  So its supposed to be a Spectrum Email account.  Now I cant find any way to change the server settings.

In the Outlook desktop software you can no longer get to the server settings.  On-line when you go to "View All Outlook Settings" it also has no way to get into the server settings.

I'm sure I'm missing something but what?

Would it be correct to assume that the primary alias for your Microsoft Account is the charter.net email address? That would result in the account trying to be configured as an Exchange account using the

Hi Karl,

I did find a way before your reply.  I believe it's pretty much as you said.  At this point I'm not going to change anything.  My desktop version of Outlook is working.  Thanks for the information.
