Outlook crashes when I click in the Search bar

Outlook works fine until I click anywhere in the Search bar.

Whenever I do Outlook stops doing anything for a few minutes and then it crashes.

After it automatically restarts, everything else works fine again.

Can you please try to run Outlook application in safe mode? When outlook is already in safe mode, please click again in search bar and check if the issue still happens. This is to check if add-ins installed is causing the issue. Please see link below for the steps on how to do it.

I have now opened Outlook in Safe mode, and unfortunately, when I click in the search bar, Outlook still crashes.

What dod I need to provide you with to take the investigation further, or is there something else I need to try?

Had this happen today. Was able to fix it by clearing out the local outlook folder and recreating the profile.

Open %appdata%\local\microsoft\outlook and just delete everything in that folder.

Then go to control panel > Mail > profiles and delete the old one

Create a new one and see if that does the trick for you.
