I went to the Office updates section and got the message that all my apps are up to date.
Went to run the "repair" option and saw that it will run the repair on all programs within Office. I am a little reluctant to do so, since this is more a minor annoyance than a big issue, and I am afraid it will change something in my other Office programs that work just fine. Right now, I just look at the person's email and type it into the "To" field instead of clicking on the link. That's inefficient, but at least it gets me there. I would just like it to work like it does on my 2 other PCs that are running Outlook 2010 on Windows 7. For those, I just click on the person's email, it drops it into the "To" field and I am good to go.

In Outlook 2016 in Windows 10 should work the same, I just made the tests on my computer and it works as desired, from the folder received emails select a message from a user, once this message opened, position the mouse over the email address and a small window was opened and select the mail icon that shows and automatically the window of sending a new mail with the address of the user selected in the "for" box was opened.
So it should work if it does not work as described above, I recommend you do the repair of Office, so you should not fear nothing will happen to the other applications only repairs problems.
Best Regards
Yohandi
