Outlook 2019 autocomplete view changed after update (2021)

Hello

Outlook changed view of autocomplete after update - same problem like in 2017.
Registry fix from 2017 (Office 2016) is not fixing problem.
View is different on two computers with same configuration (Win10 + Office 2019)
One is displaying list down from input field and other up so if new mail window is in full screen, the list is out of margins of display!
Fonts are bigger and list view is ugly.
My customers are complaining and want old view back!
Is there any chance to revert view to old one?

Is the screen resolution the same on both computers? Are both in mouse mode? (If touch mode is enabled, there is a vertical toolbar on the right of the reading pane.)

Same problem here... Customers are calling us with this problem... Autocomplete list is "growing" up to non visible area. Another thing is, that "cross" for removing contact from list dissapearedd too... Right click on item in autocomplete list is functioning same way as left click...

I'm seeing the same issue arise in our office.  My computer is fully updated with Windows and Office 2016 and has the issue.  The other thing I noticed is there is no option to delete one that is displayed.  So if you have a typo, you can't delete that email address individually.  Display settings are 100% and default display options for Outlook.  Diplay resolution 1920x1080

Hello, seeing the same issue with my customers.

I have made sure windows is up to date, and that Office was up to date.

I have also run a Repair on the Office installation, still an issue.

I work IT and a few of my customers are having this issue. My current "workaround" is as follows:

  1. File>Options>Mail>Send Messages

  2. Uncheck "Automatic name checking" and "Use Auto-Complete List to suggest names when typing in the To, Cc, and Bcc lines"

  3. Close Outlook and restart the computer.

  4. Open Outlook.

  5. File>Options>Mail>Send Messages 

  6. Check "Automatic name checking" and "Use Auto-Complete List to suggest names when typing in the To, Cc, and Bcc lines"

  7. File>Options>Mail>Replies and forwards

  8. Check "Open replies and forwards in a new windows"

This worked for me and my clients on the most recent updates. Hope this gets fixed.

Hi all,

To help narrow the issue can you please post your Outlook Version (File, Office Account, under About Outlook)?  If anyone could post the full page under Product Information please do but use Paint to remove your name from the page.

I suspect you are on Version 2104 (Build 13929.20296) but want to double check.
