opening up older wdb files

Where can I find a program to open up some wdb files that I created several years ago using Microsoft Works (that came with the laptop)? I find it discomforting to find out that Microsoft stopped making Works before I purchased the laptop, and that after looking for several hours, I can't seem to find a conversion program.  I also find it disturbing to find that Microsoft will supply the OS (Windows 10), along with several games and other features that I don't need, want, or use, but don't include even a basic word processing or database program (other than the free 30 day trial of MS Office, which has many functions that I neither need or want).
