OneNote Web Clipper will not sign in to my 365 Business Account

I am having issues with the OneNote Clipper and the Office 365 account that I have through my University. Anytime I try and sign in using my work username and password using any browser (I've tried Edge, Chrome, and Firefox), I get the following message after authenticating successfully. I have no issues signing in using my personal Microsoft account.

I have searched this message board for a solution, but nothing has worked. Cookies are enabled on all browsers, and I have tried adding [*/]onenote.com and [*]live.com as exceptions. I have installed and uninstalled the plugin, and have also tried signing in using my personal account, which works. I have also disabled all other plugins in each browser, without any luck. The Outlook plugin works without issue, and I have no other issues signing in to other office 365 products.

Any help would be appreciated, as I would like to use this feature.

Dear Mark,

Thanks for posting in the community.

According to your description, when you sign in to your business account in OneNote Web Clipper, it won’t sign you in. Since you have already tried some suggestions to troubleshoot the situation, I would like to collect more information about it.

1. Please open the private window of the browser, then sign in to your business account in OneNote Web Clipper again (you need to allow it in Inprivate when managing the extension), does the situation happen again?

2. Since the situation happens in using a business account, if you use another device to test, does the situation happen again? Or are your colleagues/classmates in the same situation?

3. What if you click More information in your screenshot, do some details pop on? If so, please provide a screenshot.

We look forward to your response. Thanks for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

George | Microsoft Community Moderator

Hi George,

Here are the responses for your questions.

1. Please open the private window of the browser, then sign in to your business account in OneNote Web Clipper again (you need to allow it in Inprivate when managing the extension), does the situation happen again?

Yes it does. Here is a screenshot.

2. Since the situation happens in using a business account, if you use another device to test, does the situation happen again? Or are your colleagues/classmates in the same situation?

I had a colleague try with her work account, and she is getting the same message. She said "It won't let me sign in. It says cookies have to be enabled for it to work properly... Cookies are enabled so I'm not sure why it's telling me that".

3. What if you click More information in your screenshot, do some details pop on? If so, please provide a screenshot.

Here are the details (in Edge). Screenshot below and cut/paste more details here: "EdgeExtension: 3.8.8 ID: ON-ad131eb4-29fc-46e1-****-************ USID: 526f6edd-2c41-ad09-87a7-************"

Dear Lorraine,

Thank you for posting back.

According to your description, since your colleague is in the same situation, I would like to suggest you contact your admin/IT department to create a support ticket via Micrsoft 365Admin Center> Support> New service request. That support team there will have the correct channel to help you investigate more and find what exactly reason has caused this issue.

Appreciate your understanding and patience.

Sincerely,

George | Microsoft Community Moderator

Hi

I have a similar issue, I have tried to log into the One Note Clipper using my @gmail Microsoft account, but it automatically only accepts my @outlook account. If I try to use the school log in section it says no available.

In short, I want to log into the One Note Web Clipper using my @gmail Microsoft account. Any help would be much appreciated.

Warm regards,
