OneNote 2010 all sections and pages are empty! Please help me!

Hello all!

My notebooks are located in the OneDrive cloud storage. I can access and work with my notebooks via web-interface in browser and via OneNote app in my Android phone. But on the OneNote 2010 which is a part of Office 2010 I have this issue when I try to open my notebooks:

"There are no sections open in this notebook or section group"

Also when I try to open notebooks I receive this error message:

How can I solve this issue?

I get the same message trying to open an existing notebook on OneDrive with OneNote 2010.

I can open this notebook in OneNote 2016.

Changes in another already open notebook in OneNote 2010 get synced.

Looks like a bug on the OneDrive side creating an incompatibility for OneNote 2010. Just another frivolous change of the authentification procedure ?

It's nice that I'm not alone :o)

I understand that the bug on the OneDrive side, but I don't want to upgrade my great OneNote 2010 to the OneNote 2016. I don't like OneNote 2016.

I understand that the bug on the OneDrive side, but I don't want to upgrade my great OneNote 2010 to the OneNote 2016.

Wasn't my intention. I personally prefer OneNote 2010 with its classic installation method.

Does anyone have an answer to this yet?

I have exactly the same Issue. It started happening yesterday midday (UKTime) for me. 

None of the notebooks are lost, they are still on onedrive. I can access them using android or apple app's, I can also access the notes using Onenote app on Windows 10, but not using the Onenote 2010 desktop version. (Which is much better than the app's).

Any help really appreciated.

As for me it started yesterday 01/25/2020 midday (Kiev Time).

I sent request to the Microsoft support team.  You could send description about the issue too. Their email: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

I think as more requests as more chances that they pay attention to this problem.

I hope they fix it. There are numerous people having this issue. The severity is showing online.

Based on many users posts on the Reddit forum Microsoft don't want to fix it... still no official statements from them...

I put a message up on Twitter. They asked it I still have the issue. I mentioned I did and pointed them to this thread. They came back with,

"Thanks for letting us know. We’ll be sure to pass this along to the appropriate folks."

Hopefully they come back with something....
