Hi MT_12345,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused by this issue.

I tested at our end but didn’t encounter this issue.  Based on your description, I assume that you are having this error in OneDrive application. And you mentioned that the issue is happened with a collaborative Excel file.

We suggest you try these steps to check the outcome:

1. Go to OneDrive->Setting-> Office->check “Use Office application to sync Office files that I open.”
2. Reset OneDrive.
Windows Key+R -> Copy the below and paste and Enter:
%localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset
Restart OneDrive after this to check if the issue persists.

If the issue still persists, can you provide the screenshot of the OneDrive version? Please go to Setting-> About and take a screenshot. If you are not using latest product version (19.152.0801.0007) of OneDrive, we suggest you delete the current version and install the product version to see the result. Please refer to this article: OneDrive release notes

Regards,
Ivy
