OneDrive Is Not Provisioned for this User

Hi Team,

One of my customers has purchased an Office 365 Business Essentials license for one of their users. The account has been active for a long time now. They now have a requirement to use OneDrive for Business.

OneDrive for Business is listed in the App Launcher for the user, but when they click on it, it takes them to Delve instead.

When I check the user account in the Admin App and open the OneDrive Settings, it shows that "OneDrive Is Not Provisioned for this User."

When I check the license entitlement, OneDrive does not appear in the list of applications under Business Essentials. I then checked the internet and Business Essentials does include OneDrive for Business.

Please can you confirm why it appears in the App Launcher, but does not appear as provisioned in the Admin App for my customer.

Thanks

Nitin.

Hi Nitin,

I have checked the user account, the SharePoint service is provisioned successfully. In this situation, please let the global admin to check if the user has the permission to create his personal site(OneDrive for Business). To check and enable the permission:

Let the global admin log into SharePoint admin center(e.g. https://contoso-admin.sharepoint.com or go to Office 365 admin center>Admin centers>SharePoint)>On the left panel, click user profiles>Under People, choose Manage User Permission>Check if Everyone except external users or Everyone displays. If not, add it. And then check if Create Personal site is checked. If not, check it.>Click OK to save the changes to see if it works.

Thanks,
Felix

Hi Nitin,

Thanks for your updates.

To help troubleshoot the issue, let the global admin confirm the following information:

1.Log into my site host https://contoso-my.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/user.aspx  (if tenant is contoso.onmicrosoft.com)>Click Check Permissions under PERMISSIONS>Input the user account>Check Now>Share a screenshot of the result with us.

2.Go to SharePoint admin center(e.g. https://contoso-admin.sharepoint.com) >User Profiles>Under People, click Manage User Profiles>Input the user name or account and click Find>Click the account name to select Manage site collection owners>Check if site admin is the user.

Thanks,
Felix
