onedrive forbidden characters in file-folders name

Please find details on invalid character and filename below:

When saving files to your personal OneDrive, certain characters are automatically renamed by Office apps, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Filenames that contain , are changed to ^J

Filenames that contain # are changed to ^N

Filenames that contain & are changed to ^0

Ideally, OneDrive should change the file name itself during sync/upload. If it doesn't, then you can change that to a different allowed character.

For OneDrive personal it includes comma , as well i the invalid character.
When saving files to your personal OneDrive, certain characters are automatically renamed by Office apps, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Ensure that you do not use invalid or restricted characters in filenames, such as , # " * : < > ? / \ |

it seems that my OneDrive accepts commas; what I dont understand is if the forbidden characters are forbidden in syncing or in be opened form an MS Office app...

Hi,

As I read from support article, When OneDrive can't sync a file or folder because its name contains invalid characters, OneDrive can sometimes rename it for you. Looks like it is always the case but in some specific situations.
If OneDrive is able to rename the file or folder, you'll see a Rename option in the notification area. If OneDrive can't rename the file or folder automatically, you'll need to manually rename it yourself.

It doesn’t seems to be the case when you create new file/folder or upload it from OneDrive web app.
