One drive sync report not working

Hi Team,

I have setup the one drive sync report in the admin center based on the article https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/sync-health?tabs=windows.

For now, i have enabled the registry for just one server but the devices tab not showing the registry enabled server. Instead, it showing an error like below. Hoping someone would have seen this issue before or point me in the right direction.

Thanks,

Karthik

Dear Karthik,

Since the EnableSyncAdminReports setting on devices needs to meet the requirement, please try the steps in this article to reconfirm if the OneDrive sync app is on the Insiders or Production ring (the output is not dword:00000000) and reconfirm it the setting is applied successfully to the device.

We look forward to your response. Thanks for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

Thank you George. I believe the registry setting for insiders ring didn't apply properly in our machine. Copied the files manually to the policy folder and restarted it. It did the trick and i could see the sync report. I have one more question though. What role assignment would be appropriate to assign for anyone other than global admin to be able to see the reports. I dont want to provide global admin or reader permissions for the users to see this report. Please let me know.

Thanks,

Karthik
