One Drive on OS X Yosemite - file system case sensitivity issue

trying to set up one drive sync on my mac for a o365 business account ... i followed the instructions outlined here: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/get-started-with-the-onedrive-for-business-next-generation-sync-client-on-mac-os-x-d11b9f29-00bb-4172-be39-997da46f913f?ui=en-us&rs=en-us&ad=us&fromar=1

but, when i choose a location to sync up, i get an error: Image

anyone run in to this? any fix for this?

Here are details on the file system in case it helps:

File System Personality:  Case-sensitive Journaled HFS+

Type (Bundle):            hfs

Name (User Visible):      Mac OS Extended (Case-sensitive, Journaled)

As the error message mentioned, we are not able to set up OneDrive on a disk that has a case-sensitive format. In this case, I would suggest you submit your feedback via this link. Your providing feedback is the best way to perfect our products and services.

Tried using two different locations, and it does not work. However, it does work on an external drive that has case insensitive format.
