I was today trying to copy in my personal macro folder to the normal location of XLStart on my Office365(Home) installation and found the path in a very weird spot under WindowsApps. There are no files in the normal \appdata\microsoft\excel\xlstart location.
Is this common now or do I have a corrupt installation? The XLStart file in the odd location has secure permissions and i cannot copy my file in.
It means that you have got Store version of Excel installed. Store version of Excel brings its own peculiarities.
You need not copy Personal.xlsb here.
Just create a Personal.xlsb by following instructions in below link and see whether this gets created here. If yes, then you would need to copy all your macros from old Pesonal.xlsb into new Personal.xlsb manually by opening them in VBA editor.
