office 365 Excel 2016 Autosum

Hi there

My IT Administrator recently update my office desktop packed from 2013 to Office 365  2016 , the problem is with excel 2016 when even I auto sum numbers with period the total sum I received is zero. I have tried formatting the columns but nothing seems to be working for me.

Kindly could someone assist me with this issue.

Hi Sbongile,

I would like to confirm the steps to auto sum the numbers:

1.    Select the cell to the right or below the numbers you want to add.
2.    Click the Home tab, and then click AutoSum in the Editing group.

Are these the exact steps you are using to sum up the numbers?

To narrow down the issue, I need detailed version of Office 2016. Could you please provide us with the screenshot of the ‘Product Information’ (as shown in the screenshot below)? To do this, open any Office application, let’s say Excel, click File>Account.

For your reference, here’s an article with the basic tasks in Excel 2016.

Regards,
Neha
