Objects deletions aren't synchronized to Azure AD when using the Azure Active Directory Sync tool

Hello there,

I have deleted several groups from AD. these deleted did not sync to Azure AD. at the moment I do not know the Name of Groups.

Please say to me, How can I find the deleted group from Azure AD.

PS: I have tried full Sync, after that check the LastDirSyncTime. but Full Sync (Start-ADSyncSyncCycle -PolicyType Initial) worked same Start-ADSyncSyncCycle -PolicyType Delta. that means did not update LastDirSyncTime for all objects in Azure AD.

Hi Jawad,

I understand that you’re using Azure Active Directory Tool. I’d like to clarify that the tool has been replaced by Azure AD Connect and customer will no longer be supported soon. It’s is recommended that you upgrade to Azure AD Connect. Here’s an official document for your reference: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/active-directory-aadconnect-upgrade-previous-version.

After the upgrade finishes, please let the tool sync automatically.

If the issue persists, please open the PowerShell and run this command:

Start-ADSyncSyncCycle -PolicyType Initial

Thanks,

Brook

Hi Jawad,

Please open Synchronization Service Manager and go to Metaverse Search, try if you can search out one of the problematic groups.

My example:

If so, double click the search result to open Metaverse Object Properties, in Connectors UI, capture a screenshot. Since it contains your privacy, I have sent you a private message to request it: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/privatemessages/list/.

Thanks,

Brook
