No link created when using "dock to desktop" in Onenote 2010

I am trying the "dock to desktop" feature - but do not see any link creation?

I have the IE explorer window open - I then put Onenote in "Dock to desktop" mode and see the panel docked to right hand side of display.  My understanding is that when I create a note in the docked panel, it will be immediately linked to the previously active screen(the IE window).  However, when I hover over the note, I do not see any IE icon, or any information showing the link.  When I switch back to Onenote, the new note is there, but no indication or link to original active screen source.

What I am doing wrong?  Or what settings do I need?  I have ensured that "start taking linked notes" is active (top left corner).

Thanks.

Answer
Thanks!

I actually was able to sort this out.

First, the onenote add-in for WORD/POWERPOINT must be enabled (just select it from the REVIEW tab) and point to the onenote folder.  Now a docked onenote will create the link for WORD and POWERPOINT when entries are made while the application is the active window.

Only the IE browser is supported for docked onenote (Chrome does not work).

So now I have docked onenote ability to create a link for WORD/POWERPOINT/IE - pretty cool!
