New folders not showing in Outlook on the desktop, but is visible online

I created a folder three days ago (work email) but it did not appear on the desktop. It did appear on the online outlook.office365, however this is not convenient to work from. I've previously solved a similar issue by turning off cached mode (when it is on about 1/3 folders disappear), but this has happened in spite of this. 

The folder shows up when looking at folder size, and Outlook doesn't allow another folder to be created with the same name.

From your description the issue is that a new folder has been created but it doesn't appear.


Please turn on the Exchange Cache Mode as we can't use the search feature in the Online mode. And then press Ctrl + 6 key to show the folder list to see if that created folder appears?


Also, please try updating the Outlook client version to the latest one to check it. Currently, we can update Outlook to version 1809 (Build 10827.20150 Click-to-Run) in Monthly Channel. If the issue persists, please feel free to let us know the detailed Outlook version on your side.
