New email notification for Shared Mailboxes

Hi All,

I have someone who manages a shared mailbox. They have "Full Access" & "Send As" delegation over the shared mailbox.

When a new email comes in, no notification pops up for the shared mailbox, similar to when an email comes in for their mailbox.

Can someone confirm if there is a fix or workaround for this so the user can get notifications for both their own mailbox and the shared mailbox?

Thanks,
Juan

I be live you can create transport rules to get the notifications

This is 'expected behavior' for shared mailboxes- you'd need to add it as an account, not a shared mailbox, to get notifications. You could use macros to watch the inbox and alert you when a new message arrived.

Or, open the shared box as an account, either in OWA or Outlook and set up a rule - but it needs to be a server side rule to work when opened as a shared mailbox. Display a desktop alert is client-side and probably won't work. :(
