recieving messages of incorrect password for imap

May I double confirm whether you want to update your Comcast email password in Outlook desktop client?

If so, please refer to the article: Change or update your email password

However, if you want to reset/change password for your Comcast IMAP email account then you will require to change your email account password on the website for the account provider. For example, to change the password for an Xfinity account, go to the Xfinity website and follow the prompts. 

If the above is not your scenario or I have misunderstood anything, please correct me and provide us with detailed information such as screenshot about the issue, so that we can further assist you.
