Need help! I can't update my payment method for Microsoft 365

I can't remove the old (expired) credit card.

And I can't add a new credit card.

It keeps saying the same error message

"Check the info you entered. It doesn't match the info for this card."

Despite all info entered being accurate.

Hello Michelle,

You cannot remove a billing source if it is currently funding an active subscription. You would need to cancel any auto-recharge settings and any active subscriptions associated with your Microsoft 365 account. Once all subscriptions have expired, you should be able to remove your credit card payment method.

However, to be able to remove your current Microsoft account payment method, you will first need to add a new payment method to your account and set if for your subscription. I understand you are unable to add a new payment method. Know that not all payment method is accepted by Microsoft. When adding a new payment method, you need to enter your name and address as it appears in your account without any abbreviations. If the provision for address isn't sufficient, you can use provision for address 2. If you make a mistake, rather than correcting it, add a new payment method entering the correct details. To add a new payment method: 1. Sign in with your Microsoft account to the Payment options page of your account dashboard using link below: https://account.microsoft.com/billing/payments?ref=SMC-4026594 2. Select Add a new payment method. 3. Select the type of payment method you want to add, add your info, and select Save. I am due for Feb 15, 2024 update of mthly subscription. The card needs to be changed before then or its will decline. When and how do I update card?

I am trying to update my payment method. It will not let me delete or update. I inter the information, but when asked for the three number code on the back it says it is invalid. It is not invalid. I need help.......preferable by telephone. 425 453-0899

Patricia this email came to my email address but it is meant for the phone number which

is 425-453-0899. Please call her at this number to take care of her question.

I call her and read the email to her and she needs you to contact her so that she can update

her card information.

The support seems to be focussed on removing the old card, as per the initial request for help, I can't take any actions on offer to me, and my subscription needs to renew soon too. It should be simple to update a card, putting in new expiry date and CCV, but this system just screams "Check the info you entered. It doesn't match the info for this card." despite being perfectly sure that the details are correct. I use 1Password to fill in the details, and it's been working all year for pre-filling my credit card details, so there is no reason why the details would be incorrect now that I enter them into Microsoft. It's very important that I, and the other 23 people with this problem, get a solution asap.
