MS Project - Status Line Error When Printing! Please Help

Thanks John, are you able to be more specific? I'm not exactly sure how to do the following:

1. Create a custom Date field (e.g. Finish1) with the simple formula

Finish1=[Status Date]

2. Set the option to use that formula for "task and group summary rows"

3. Create two new Bar Styles as shown (or similar)

No problem.

A. Go to Project > Properties group and create the custom field formula as shown. If you want the line to reference the current date instead of the status date, change the formula to [Current date]

B. To create the new bar styles go to, Gantt Chart Format > Bar Styles group > Format > Bar Styles as shown

Got it to work but it doesn't really show what I need, aka where we are behind and where we are in front of programme.

Do you know when the glitch will be fixed as it's really hurting our reporting to our client...

You're right in that the workaround only shows tasks behind the status dates, as set up it does not show tasks that are ahead of the status date. That could be done but it would require a bit more setup.
