MS Planner: Option to Copy Entire Buckets

Good morning,

I am a Project Manager who utilizes MS Planner extensively- for all projects, and I can easily have 20-30 projects at once (each with hundreds of tasks). I have about 6 templates I use, depending on the project but the most tedious part of my job is having to copy and paste each individual task into each new bucket. It would be AMAZING and save me countless hours of time if I were able to simply copy entire Buckets (instead of having to create a new bucket, and every single task within it). Can Microsoft please make this very necessary update to MS Planner? My colleagues all agree and feel the same and I can only imagine the thousands of others who would appreciate the change.

Thank you!

Hi DQ_305,

Thanks for posting in the community. We are happy to help you.

As you mentioned, currently, there is no built-in feature to copy the entire bucket. I totally agree with your suggestion that adding the copy bucket feature would greatly improve the user experience. In this case, I suggest you:

1. Send feedback in Planner.

You can go to Planner for the web (https://tasks.office.com/), click Settings in the upper right corner, Send Planner feedback, I have a suggestion.

2. I recommend you vote for the following feedback in the Microsoft Feedback Portal where other members also post and vote for their feedback. It's the platform for us to hear your voice and improve our products.

Sorry for the inconvenience that happened to you. Appreciate your understanding and patience.
