Regarding the product key, it is the key to activate Office 2011 for Mac. You need your key to activate Office.

Please check the first article Cheebase provided and think back, and see if you can find the product key. About the Check for Updates, as the message stated, you may wait a few minutes and try again.

I'm failing to update, brings up same message - see picture on thread.

I've tried all avenues you suggested, but in vain. How else can I retrieve the activation info. Can we use the product I.D perhaps?
