Modern charts are pixelated after PDF export; how to export as vector PDF?

When using the modern chart types (histogram, box and whisker, ...) the chart is exported as a bitmap image when saving as a PDF. How can I make Word save all charts in vector format, like Word does with the old chart types (bar, pie, ...)?

I added two screenshots to show this behavior.

How to replicate: create a new Word document, add a histogram chart, add a bar chart, save as PDF (any method of saving as PDF gets the same result for me) and zoom into the PDF.

Thanks!

Hi Pablo,

After seeing your post I did a test, I suggest you try clicking File->Print->select Microsoft print to PDF as the printer.

This time their anti-aliasing degree seems little different, but at least it could improve the quality of pictures on PDF

(In my test, the first one is histogram and the second one is bar chart.)

Feel free to post back if you have any experience to share, I hope my suggestion could help.

Have a nice day: )

Best Regards,

Oliver
