Microsoft Word incorrectly suggesting grammar changes

I was working on a group paper in Microsoft Word earlier this evening when I saw a double underscores on two words meaning Word thinks the grammar is wrong or shoddy. These two instances of grammar suggestions were incorrect! I was surprised that Microsoft would have such bad bugs in its grammar tool. Here are the errors:

In a comparative sentence, Microsoft Word suggested the sentence use "then" instead of "than." Wrong.

In a plural context, Microsoft Word suggested using "instance's" instead of "instances." Again, wrong.

What is happening to auto correct algorithms!? Can this be addressed??

Hi CassO1,

Thanks for posting in the community.

According to your description, we have tested it on our side and we can reproduce the same situation as yours. Also, the official article mentioned the underlined word means a spelling or grammatical error while this feature doesn’t work well in every sentence actually.
