Microsoft Teams / Planner Tasks dissapearing

Hi,

We have created a plan in Microsoft Teams (desktop) , then created a couple more plans to copy tasks to; they have now disappeared in Teams but a clearly visible in Planner (online). We have tried restarting Teams App and Planner, but the same thing is happening to all members of the team.

Microsoft Teams shows only 1 Plan - Templates - but includes an Extension Plan Task

Planner online - shows both plans correctly with all tasks in both the Templates Plan and the Extensions Plan

Hi Carolyn,

Thank you for your post in our forum. Sorry for the inconvenience it has caused.

Per your description, may I take it that both plans exist in the Planner online, but just one plan Templates exist in Teams application and which have the task ZZ-RP##### Extension Documentation Checklist from the Template plan and the task Extension and Approval Form from the Extensions plan?

If so, based on your problem, we test it, and it works well. So, we sincerely request that you could test and provide the result below so that we can help you more effectively.

1. Please sign in Team online (https://teams.microsoft.com/) in the InPrivate or Incognito browser to check whether the plans exist to check whether the problem is related to the Teams application or the server.

2. Please test to create more plans in the current place. Meanwhile, you can create more plans in different groups and check whether the plans disappear as the same.

3. Please update your Teams application to the latest version.

Additionally, if convenient, please provide the test result and screenshot of it. Thank you for your time. 😊 Have a good day!

Best regards,

Cindy

Hi Cindy,

Yes Correct: Per your description, may I take it that both plans exist in the Planner online, but just one plan Templates exist in Teams application and which have the task ZZ-RP##### Extension Documentation Checklist from the Template plan and the task Extension and Approval Form from the Extensions plan?

1. Teams online In Private shows exactly the same as Teams App

2. Yes we created more Plans in the Teams App with the same result. We have other Teams with multiple plans and do not have the same issue.

3. Teams is currently up-to-date as far as we can tell  You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.3.00.30866 (64 bit). It was last updated on 18/11/2020.

Thanks

Carolyn

Hi Carolyn,

Thank you for your quick reply.

Because the Teams online in InPrivate browser is the same as the Teams application and the the problem only happens to the specific Teams group, not all groups. It indicates two things that Teams doesn’t have the problem to a greater extent, and the problem may be related to the Microsoft Server, it might need to be fixed on our back end.

Based on this situation, we are so sorry to convey that our community support team has limited resources and don’t have permission to access the back end. So, we sincerely request that you could create a support ticket in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center via Global Admin, the support engineers there have the correct escalation channel, and this is the most efficient way to report such a back end issue for Microsoft 365 Services. You can refer to Contact support for business products - Admin Help.

At the meantime, I also wrote a summary about this scenario and sent you via the Private Message, you can also attach it while you send the service request in admin center.

We highly appreciate your cooperation and understanding! Thank you for your time. 😊 Hope you can solve the problem early.

Best regards,

Cindy
