Hi SuppleWaif7,

Thanks for posting in our community.

From the screenshot, the error states that it cannot find the specified module native-utils.node. Would you please go to the following location to confirm whether the file is there? C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Teams\current\resources\app.asar.unpacked\node_modules\native-utils\build\Release

If the file is not there, a re-install of the Microsoft Teams application should resolve this issue. If the issue persists after re-installation, would you please share the following information with us for further investigation?

1.       Where did you download the teams installer?

2.       Is your Windows version up to date?

3.       Use the System File Checker tool to check whether there is any missing or corrupted system files on your computer. Refer to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system

Thanks,

Ray

This fix doesnt work for me.

The Teams desktop app worked, but then froze and crashed during a business call. I had to reboot, the app didn't work anymore, so I deinstalled everything, downloaded the app again and reinstalling no longer works. General fixes described online havent worked.

I get this error on my personal laptop (Windows 7 professional, 32 bit):

Any suggestions? If I use teams in the webbrowser to use TEAMS so I can see what people share on their screens, I also have to use my phone parallel so I can hear and speak.

Hi Victorya,

Thanks for asking.

As far as I know, Teams is supported on Windows 8.1 or later. As you are using Windows 7, this is why it does not work. For more related information, you can refer to the following articles:

Hardware requirements for Microsoft Teams

Get clients for Microsoft Teams

In this situation, you may need to upgrade your Windows system or use the Teams web app as a workaround. We appreciate your understanding.

Thanks,

Ray

Hi Ray

The Team desktop app worked on my Windows 7 last week, so that can't be the issue...

Greetings

Victoria

Hi Victoria,

Thanks for your follow up.

The error says native-utils.node is not a valid Win32 application. Would you please try again to uninstall Teams and delete the Teams folder under AppData and then re-install from the following link?

https://products.office.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/download-app

If the issue persists, please try to upgrade to Windows 10 as Windows 7 is no longer supported.

Thanks,

Ray

Hi Ray

I bought/downloaded Windows 10, have the license key but it won't install on my PC. I keep getting the report that my current Windows 7 is not an original version (it is - I have the product key!), am forwarded to a Microsoft website for verification and then it says "this page is no longer available".

I'm stuck. How to proceed now to update my PC to Windows 10?

Thanks for any guidance you might have!

Greetings

Victoria
