Microsoft Stream - trimming video lowers quality

I notice when I upload a video to Stream, if I trim it in Stream, it lowers the quality. Anybody else notice this? From now on, I won't be trimming in Stream.

Answer

Hi Banksy,

Sorry for the inconvenience it may have caused.

As an Enterprise Video service where people in your organization can upload, view, and share videos securely, Microsoft Stream is not suitable as a professional tool for trimming videos. Considering the load of the server and preventing the video file from being too large, files trimmed by Microsoft Stream will be compressed appropriately.

In this case, you can use the professional video trimming software to meet your requirement, then upload the video to Microsoft Stream.
