Microsoft outlook- yellow app

Hello,

I can't open my yellow outlook app, with all the old emails logged.

I need some contacts details and I don't remember then off heart and now i can't even open the app.

On my new blue outlook express i haven't got these emails as I just updated.

I have tried to open the yellow app in finder, but it just dies, it will not open.

Could someone please help.

Its Mac 2011, version 14.16.5.

It's not working! And I am even more desperate now to get hold of them. I need help to get in there . The app is at least still in finder. I double click and it starts to open then it just disappears. What's that about?

Restart your Mac in Safe Mode by holding the Shift key down when you hear the startup chime. It will take a long time for your Mac to start up. Then use Font Book(it’s in Applications > Utilities folder) or other font utility to validate ALL your fonts. Delete old versions of duplicate fonts. Delete fonts that don't validate completely. After cleaning your fonts, test Outlook while still booted in Safe Mode. Does Outlook crash?

Then do a regular restart without holding the shift key. Once you get to the desktop, empty the trash to get rid of the unneeded fonts and free up disc space. Test again. Does Outlook crash?

Be sure to include the version number and OS version when asking your question.
