Microsoft Outlook - IPv6 disconnects

Hi, We have recently deployed dual stack IPv4 and IPv6 across our campus. We are experiencing random disconnects on some pc's on outlook mail clients that connect to Office 365. If we disable IPv6 the outlook client connects back straight away to Office365 or if we disable IPv4 the outlook client connects back straight away to Office365. The problem only seems to appear when the pc is dual stacked. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated?

Hello Colin,

You mean the IPv4 and IPv6 networks are run in parallel that we calls a "dual-stack" network.

If so, IPv4 and IPv6 are so significantly different in design that network management tools designed for an IPv4 network may not work the same in an IPv6 environment. Or wise versa.

Hi Colin,

Based on the description issue may lie with the dual stack IPv4 and IPv6. Since our forum mainly focuses on Office 365 Business Online services and we are not familiar with dual stacked network design system therefore, I would like to suggest you please involve your local network administrator to troubleshoot this issue.

Regarding this point, we would truly appreciate your kind understanding.

Best regards,
Shyamal
