Microsoft Office Excel Office 12.

In my Program Files I have a folder named  'Microsoft Office '. Within this is just one folder named   'Office 12' ( this I understand means Microsoft Office 2007). When opening up this folder I observe many applications and extensions applicable to Office 2007 but I cannot use Office 2007 because  C:\ Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\Excel.exe cannot be found.

I notice when viewing Programs through Control Panel >Programs and Features that only the Microsoft Office Excel Viewer and Microsoft Office Power Point Viewer are shown as actual programs/features.

If I am unable to use Office 2007 can I delete everything except the two viewers without affecting other activities because I feel I am taking up too much space on OS(C:)

Thanks in anticipation of response.

Answer

In the Office12 folder what applications are shown? eg winword.exe?

In explorer what size is shown for Properties of Office12?

Do you have an actual Office 2007 cd and its Key?

As in order to have an Office12 folder you must have had Office installed at some point

In Program & Features is any Office Trial or Activation Assistant shown?

Do NOT delete program files/folders in explorer
