Microsoft office 365 on Mac OS X 10.12.6

Hello,

I have a mac running Mac OS X 10.12.6 and I want to install office 365 (I have a one drive account that allows me to have the suite on my computer).

When try to install the package it says that I need OSX 10.13 to do so.

I can't find any other link to install a version that would compatible with my OS.

Do you have a solution?

Thanks,

Hi Tina,

The 16.29.1 build is no longer available for download, but the 16.29 build still is available. I updated the link in my reply.

I am an unpaid volunteer and do not work for Microsoft. "Independent Advisors" work for contractors hired by Microsoft. "Microsoft Agents" work for Microsoft Support.

You would think people who work for Microsoft would know their products.

You were given faulty information.

The newest version of Microsoft Office that works with Mac OS 10.12.6 is Microsoft Office 2019 version 16.29.1 - which is the build that came out just prior to the release of Mac OS Catalina.

If you have an Office 365 subscription you can use it to activate this version of Microsoft Office 2019.

If you downloaded and installed 16.30 or newer, uninstall that and then download and install 16.29.1

Uninstall Office for Mac - Office Support

Then, download and install the 16.29 build of Office for Mac. When you launch an app, go to the Help menu and choose Check for Updates to launch AutoUpdate. In AutoUpdate set it to manual so it doesn't immediately put you right back to 16.30.
