What do you mean by "restore previous purchase"?
Is your Microsoft 365 subcription from Apple still active?
Have you tried to reactivate your Office 365 apps by signing into Office apps using your account associated with this subscription from Apple?
If you have not, I recommend you sign in Office 365 app using the same account used in purchasing this subscription and let me know if you are still experiencing the same issue.
