If you registered the product, you should be able to contact Microsoft to get the key. However, you might get more help if you chose where to post more carefully. This forums is for question about Microsoft Access the database, not access to Microsoft products.

I bought my desktop in 2010 complete with Office Home and Student 2007.  I have the disk and key.  I am trying to download on my new laptop and it won't activate with this key, with remark does not match office 2013.  what can I do? Ruthfn

I'm confused, you mention having a disk and then downloading?  What do you need to download if you have an installation CD?

You also mention 2007 but later refer to 2013!?  Which is it?  Or are you trying to activate 2013 with your key for 2007, which will not work.  You need to purchase a new 2013 key in that case.

MS no longer provides keys to 2007. They expect you to buy a new one, 2013.

Do you still have the computer you originally installed it on?  If you do, and have not re-installed Windows, we can provide you with links to tools that can extract the key from the computer.

On your new computer you will have to uninstall the factory trial that is causing the confusinon.  After doing the uninstall, do an Office repair of 2010 and then you will be able to activate it.

Although this is true, you can still easily find sources to buy them... Amazon, eBay, ....

Furthermore, they said they have the key according to the original post.

thank you for your comment. Meanwhile I managed to contact Microsoft. The technician remotely activated the program on my new computer and I am all set.
