I created a microsoft outlook email account so I could purchase office 365, as I am a trainee teacher and have academic papers to write, as well as lots of admin to do. I had to faff around a bit (unimportant) with my Mac for the installation but after a few restarts of my computer I managed to install it. Great! I click activate on word and sign in... only for it to tell me that my password was incorrect. Fine, that happens. I try again, and same thing. So I try again and again, with different typos and variations of my password, and nothing. I go to reset my password, but as it was a brand new account, I hadn't added any security whatsoever. So I went through the account recovery, and get an email a couple of hours later and it says that it was unsuccessful. So I try again. And again and again several times during the week. I find a phone number, and it's an automated machine. I even somehow managed to find a live chat feature that I thought I was getting somewhere with, but they closed the chat on me twice, and I now cannot find the chat feature to start another conversation. I was on live chat for almost 2 hours, and was supposed to receive an email to another account telling me how to fix it, and I never did. I have been in a microsoft support death spiral for hours, and burst into tears of frustration. I've googled, I've created a new account, and short of re-buying office I have done everything I can, and now as the phone lines are closed I am at a complete loss. If anyone has ANY advice, or another way to get in contact with them please help. I am desperate and it's getting to a point where I cannot do work without it. I know there's docx and google docs and everything, but I paid £60! I want to be able to access the desktop apps I paid for!
