Microsoft Account PLEASE HELP!

I created a microsoft outlook email account so I could purchase office 365, as I am a trainee teacher and have academic papers to write, as well as lots of admin to do. I had to faff around a bit (unimportant) with my Mac for the installation but after a few restarts of my computer I managed to install it. Great! I click activate on word and sign in... only for it to tell me that my password was incorrect. Fine, that happens. I try again, and same thing. So I try again and again, with different typos and variations of my password, and nothing. I go to reset my password, but as it was a brand new account, I hadn't added any security whatsoever. So I went through the account recovery, and get an email a couple of hours later and it says that it was unsuccessful. So I try again. And again and again several times during the week. I find a phone number, and it's an automated machine. I even somehow managed to find a live chat feature that I thought I was getting somewhere with, but they closed the chat on me twice, and I now cannot find the chat feature to start another conversation. I was on live chat for almost 2 hours, and was supposed to receive an email to another account telling me how to fix it, and I never did. I have been in a microsoft support death spiral for hours, and burst into tears of frustration. I've googled, I've created a new account, and short of re-buying office I have done everything I can, and now as the phone lines are closed I am at a complete loss. If anyone has ANY advice, or another way to get in contact with them please help. I am desperate and it's getting to a point where I cannot do work without it. I know there's docx and google docs and everything, but I paid £60! I want to be able to access the desktop apps I paid for!

Firstly, we're sorry for the trouble caused at your end and appreciate for sharing the detailed information about the concern and steps you have taken at your end.

As per my understanding, you are getting the password incorrect when you try to sign into the Office apps. Since, it's your personal which you purchased Office 365 Subscription, I would like to confirm whether you were able to sign-in to the Office 365 account in the browser?

Open the browser> Go to www.office.com > Enter the user details which you already purchased Office 365> Check whether you are able to sign-in to the Office apps.


If you are able to sign-in, the problem is not with your account where the problem is with the Office apps. If you still get the wrong password, as you have already tried to contact the support with no success, I would like you let you know that the password recovery can be done from the phone support since the moderators in the forums are limited with the resources. So, as you are not able to sign in to the previous account and created a new Microsoft account, please use the new Microsoft account to contact the support.

Step 1: Access the following article: Global Customer Service phone numbers (microsoft.com)> Under the Home users, click on Get Help

Step 2: Make sure to sign-in with your Microsoft account (the new one)

Step 3: Give a brief description about the problem and click the enter, scroll down and click Contact Support

If you are still not able to reset the password, please check whether there is any nearby Microsoft store to your location and contact the Microsoft agent to see whether they can assist you further on it.
